VOX POPS

As the expectant crowds of fashion students, model bookers, industry peeps and top end fashion journalists filtered in, models backstage were being airbrushed and manhandled ready for the coming show.

At the cutting edge of men’s fashion, on the back of A/W’s applause, S/S MAN was watched by the fashion great and good. We asked a cross-section of the crowd what they thought of the show and asked them to stir the tea leaves to look at what the future may hold...

What did you think of the show?

Very exciting, I’m an admirer of Aitor’s work, he’s not even attempting to sell it yet. It’s so refreshing to see a purity of ideas at a fashion show. Also Kim Jones is at the forefront of menswear in London so it’s great to have him back. Cassette Playa is great, I love her stuff and buy it. It’s naïve and sophisticated at the same time.

Where do you think it’s going from here?

A continuation of shorts and those nylon trench coats that are a bit parachute-y, rolled up trousers and softer colours than we have seen this year.

DOM JONES, FASHION STUDENT

What did you think of the show?

I really enjoyed Cassette Playa and Kim Jones, they stuck to their thing and just evolved without bowing to trends. Kim’s accessories were cool and Cassette Playa’s colours were of course amazing.

Where do you think it’s going from here?

Dramatic, inspired by film

What did you think of the show?

Aitor Throup was amazing, fashion on film is so interesting because you can present a garment in 360 degrees, inside, outside and upside down, as that is of course how one wears it.

Where do you think it’s going from here?

Aitor Throup!
